Community Spotlight: Meet Jiang, Operations Manager
We are pleased to recognize the contributions of Jiang Chen, Operations Manager, whose steady leadership and commitment have been instrumental to Community Share Food Bank.
Jiang’s journey with us began in 2018 when he first joined Community Share as a volunteer, bringing his strong work ethic and dedication to our community. In 2022, he transitioned to a staff role as our Operations Coordinator. Since then, Jiang’s role has grown alongside the organization, and his work ethic, problem-solving skills, and reliability have made a lasting impact.
Originally from China, Jiang moved to Canada in 2001. Before coming to Canada, he worked as an engineer and holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Management from Tianjin University in Tianjin City, China. Outside of his work at Community Share, Jiang enjoys staying active and cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs and Liverpool Football Club.
If you’ve been involved with the food bank, you’ve likely seen Jiang in action – whether it’s a picture on social media, accepting food donations from a community partner, organizing people and food on busy Wednesdays, or helping keep service days running smoothly. His work behind the scenes is an essential part of what makes our programs possible.
Throughout his seven years with us – first as a volunteer and now as a staff leader – Jiang has become a cornerstone of our operations. We are grateful for everything he brings to Community Share Food Bank every day.
Your support as a volunteer or a donor impacts Jiang’s ability to continue serving the community. Thank you for your commitment
