COVID-19
Updated March 8, 2021 Community Share Food Bank would like to reassure all participants and volunteers that their health and safety remain our primary concern. As the COVID-19 public health emergency continues, we will be focusing our efforts on providing food bank emergency service only. All other kitchen, drop-in and garden programs remain closed until further notice. To keep our workplace as healthy as possible throughout this period, staff and volunteers are following stringent precautionary measures such as frequent hand washing, sanitizing work spaces, using rubber gloves, plexiglass barriers and social distancing. We ask that when you visit us, you ensure your mask is positioned on your face properly, sanitize your hands upon entry, stay behind the plexiglass shields at all times and follow the social distancing signage. If you are experiencing symptoms of Coronavirus, or have come in contact with someone with symptoms, please do not visit Community Share Food Bank. Instead, please contact us so that arrangements can be made to accommodate you. We provide food bank services to those with our catchment area on Wednesdays from 11am-3pm by APPOINTMENT ONLY. For participants who are unable to come into the food bank due to exposure, at high risk for COVID-19, quarantine, disability or any other reason, we are offering a food hamper delivery service right to your door. To make an appointment or arrange for delivery, please contact us by phone or email (see below). |
